Runway Update
Runway upgrades were completed as of November 25, 2025. The runway now consists of three sections of US 230 aeromodeling woven fabric. The CRCF board officers wish to thank those individuals that have supported the club throughout this process, particularity for those assisting with the work effort, along with those individuals that generously donated through our GoFundMe event.
We would also like to thank the Environmental Services Department staff (City of San Diego) for providing approval for the use of the material and their efforts in laying the base material for the project. Additionally, we would like to thank the Academy of Model Aeronautics and the AMA Foundation, given a portion of the runway costs were offset by Flying Site Improvement Grant that the club received in 2025.
